Vidya Pratishthan’s College of Agricultural Biotechnology is approved by the Maharashtra Council for Agriculture Education & Research (MCAER), Pune on 10th Octobers 2009 and affiliated to Mahatma Phule Krushi Vidyapeeth (MPKV), Rahuri. The MPKV, Rahuri has awarded ‘A’ grade status. Considering the importance and scope of Agricultural Biotechnology in the field of education, crop improvement, seed production, agro-based industries and pharmaceutical industries, the management has decided to initiate the Education, Research and Development in the field of Agricultural Biotechnology at this center. The Vidya Pratishthan’s College of Agricultural Biotechnology is the academic venture in pursuit of rural education and development. The aim of the college is to provide education about Genomics, Agricultural Biotechnology, Transgenic Biology, Stem Cell, Crop Production, Livestock Management, Food Biotechnology, Bioinformatics and other related areas of Biotechnology to fulfill growing need of educated human recourses in this area.

It is the concrete proof of Vidya Pratishthan recognition of value and potential of the science and continuous efforts to create trained manpower required in an agro based industries and other Government and NGO in particular.
